DBS Denies BCA Merger Rumors as Shares Jump More Than 7%
DBS has rejected market speculation that its Indonesian subsidiary could merge with Bank Central Asia, after BCA shares rose more than 7% on Wednesday. The bank’s denial came as analysts weighed possible strategic benefits against questions about financing, shareholder support and regulatory approval. BCA shares later retreated, while DBS Indonesia reported 164.83 trillion rupiah in assets as of August 31, 2026.

A Simply Wall St excess-returns model estimates Berkshire Hathaway’s intrinsic value above its current share price, while questions remain about returns on its capital. The analysis follows reports of possible involvement in Meta’s planned AI equity funding and Berkshire’s role in an Alphabet equity deal in June.
